Mrs. Elizabeth First

Experience: I've worked at Blessed Sacrament since 2002 and became full-time in the business office in 2014. I've also served as a small-business consultant and as a health care manager (UW Hospital and later the Waisman Center Clinics) earlier in my career. 

Why I work at BSS: I love the variety of managing the office at Blessed Sacrament. One minute I may be writing a newsletter, the next comforting a child with a tummy ache. I love working with the teachers and staff. I get lonely in the summer when the kids are gone, though! They are what really make my job feel meaningful. 

More about me: My husband and I have three adult children and I'm "Mom-mom" to a grandson. My daughter, Susannah, also works at BSS and I love seeing her every day.  In my spare time, I knit and crochet. I'm also crazy about chickens and have hens in my backyard. My favorite girls are Hermione (who lays aqua-colored eggs) and Goldie Anne Marie (who lays brown eggs).
