In 2024-25, Blessed Sacrament School celebrated 100 years of welcoming families of all backgrounds to grow in faith, knowledge, and community. Rooted in Catholic values, our mission is enriched by nearly a century of history, guiding our academic and social commitment to community and service today. Established in 1922, Blessed Sacrament Parish was staffed by priests and brothers from the Dominican Order until June 2024. The Sinsinawa Dominican sisters opened our school in 1924, welcoming 123 students, and graduating our first class in 1925. A new school building was constructed in 1961 to accommodate our growing student body. The Dominican values that shaped our founding in 1924 remain central to our mission.
Our school has been a pioneer in multi-age programming since 1975, fostering a unique educational environment that distinguishes us from other Catholic schools. Today, our parish is staffed by the Schoenstatt Fathers and we are an independent pastorate within the Diocese of Madison. The Schoenstatt Fathers have taken up the leadership torch, and we are embracing our Schoenstatt spirituality while ensuring the legacy of Dominican tradition and values remains alive.

Our Catholic Dominican tradition upholds an atmosphere where prayer, study, community, and ministry are practiced daily. These pillars guide our mission and shape our students' futures.
Prayer:
Prayer fills our school day, both formally and informally, nurturing each student’s relationship with God. Weekly Mass, Eucharistic Adoration, and monthly Stations of the Cross help students grow in faith. As one middle schooler put it, "We pray for everyone and for those they are praying for, too."Study:
Study is a cornerstone of the Dominican way of life, fostering a love of learning and truth-seeking. We’ve integrated Catechesis of the Good Shepherd (CGS), a faith formation program with hands-on learning focused on the Gospel and liturgical life, complementing our robust academic curriculum. Through multi-age classrooms and tailored teaching strategies, students are supported to reach their full academic potential across a wide range of subjects.Community:
Community is a longstanding value at Blessed Sacrament. Our "buddy" program connects 3K–8th-grade students in multi-age groups, fostering faith sharing and mentorship. Older students serve as role models, building lasting bonds with younger students. Our community efforts extend beyond the school, including activities like letter-writing to the homebound, fundraising to combat hunger, and social justice projects that nurture compassion and solidarity.Ministry:
Service, both within our community and beyond, is fundamental to our ministry. Students learn to share truth, love, and compassion, and take on responsibilities in the school to embody these values. Middle schoolers express this commitment well: "Our words define us, and we strive to let God be seen in our words and actions." Service opportunities, like helping in the lunchroom and raising the flag, deepen students' understanding of ministry and purpose.At Blessed Sacrament School, we strive to uphold these values as our foundation, welcoming all who seek an environment of faith, learning, and community. Our Mission
At Blessed Sacrament School, children are taught to respect others by living out the Four Pillars - community, prayer, service, and study. Students are taught to recognize and appreciate the similarities and differences among themselves and others. Our school fosters discipleship, academic growth, self-confidence, and personal responsibility in our students.
