THANK YOU for your interest in volunteering!We are able to host our school events and enrich our school environment thanks to the help and support of our greater school community; namely, volunteers like you!VIRTUS VOLUNTEER REQUIREMENTFor the children's safety, we require that all volunteers complete the Virtus program as well as a background check.FAMILY VOLUNTEER GUIDELINESThere are countless ways to get involved--serving hot lunch, assisting with SCA events, participating in committees, or helping out at the Christmas Market or Parish Oktoberfest! Each family is required to earn 4 “points" (different activities are worth different points) per academic year. The requirement is per family, not per student.There are several ways to get involved and support our community:
Volunteer for a hot lunch shift (signup available HERE);
Assist at school events like the Back to School picnic, Middle School dance, Halloween carnival, or Trivia Night;
Volunteer in the classroom;
Volunteer with school or parish committees, or for parish events.
SOME ROLES FULFULL THE FULL 4-POINT REQUIREMENT ON THEIR OWN:- Serving as an active member of the SCA or Athletic Committee or co-chairing an SCA event;
- Joining the SCRIP team (assisting Mrs. First and Mrs. Cordasco using RaiseRight/Shop with SCRIP) - POSITION FILLED FOR 2025/26
- Participating in the Education Advisory Committee, Parish Council, Finance Council, or as Endowment Chair
HOW TO VOLUNTEER? We will update this page with current volunteer opportunities. Volunteer sign-ups will also be sent out in our weekly eBlasts. If you are interested in joining a school or parish committee or becoming a SCRIP co-coordinator, email Carrie Bower for more information ([email protected])In addition to the events on the signup page, points will be awarded to volunteers serving hot lunch and volunteering in the classroom or for a particular event (i.e. Friar Fest, Pumpkin Counting, etc).

The Blessed Sacrament School Community Association, known as the SCA, is a group of parents who support the school through essential functions such as community building, event planning, and fundraising. The SCA plans events for staff and families, from the Welcome Back Picnic to the Staff Appreciation Dinner, and many in between. Time and again, when asked what they believe is the best part of Blessed Sacrament School, parents and students respond: "the community." Joining the SCA is a great way to get to know other school families and to bolster this amazing community.
