After School Care

- Program Overview
  
  After School Care offers a balance of activities including a snack, outside recess time, indoor play, and quiet homework time. After School Care is not a "homework club." All children have a snack and recess before indoor play or homework.
  Scheduling: Daily schedules are done using sign-up genius and spots are limited to 40 children per day.
  Fees: Fees are billed via FACTS and include:
  Annual Registration Fee: $25 per child capped at $100 per family.
  Monday - Friday: $20/child (family discount offered for >1 child attending).
  Late Pick-up Fee: $25 for each 15-minute increment past 5:30. At 5:40, emergency contacts will be called to come pick up the children.
  Drop-in Fee: Excessive (more than three) "drop-ins" (unscheduled days) will be charged an additional $10 per day over the daily fee.

- Registering/Scheduling Care
  
  Registration: Registration is required annually. Complete the registration form below. Once you submit the form, you should see a message on your screen indicating the form as been submitted and including links to Sign-Up Genius to schedule care. You will also receive an email confirmation with sign-up links.
  Scheduling Care: Use the Sign-up Genius link that you received, open with your S-UG account (or create one if you don't already have one), select the days that you need and click submit. You may submit multiple days/multiple students at one time.
  
  Cancelling Care: Whether you need to update details, or remove a scheduled day of care, it’s easy to make changes. Please cancel by noon on the day of service.
  Log into S-UG, and look for the “Items I’ve Signed Up For” section on your dashboard.
  Click the title of the sign up, and you’ll see options to edit or delete your care dates.
  We retain the right to bill families cancelling after 12 noon.
- Expectations
  
  Students are expected to treat all adults and students with respect. Students who are disrespectful will be reported to the program coordinator, and/or principal/admin team.
  
  Additional expectations:
  Students in Gr. 4 and up should meet in the Library at dismissal and go down to After Care with a teacher.
  Students in Gr. 3K-3 will be picked up from their classroom by After Care staff.
  Behavior rules from the school day extend to the after school care program:
  Cell phones must be turned off/put away.
  Language must be school appropriate.
  Children may not bully, intimidate or be physically or verbally aggressive toward others.
  Students may not leave the lunchroom or playground without permission from After Care staff.
  Students must respect safety rules including:
  No running in the hallways;
  No hard balls (baseballs, etc.) of any kind;
  No throwing snowballs or wood chips;
  No playing on the drain grates;
  No climbing on equipment posts, basketball posts, or swinging from basketball rims.
  Patterns of rule infraction may necessitate a conference with the parent and/or the student being unenrolled from the program for a period of time (up to and including the remainder of the school year).

  Scheduling
  
  Parents may schedule the days of care they need by using Sign-Up Genius. When this form is completed, a confirmation email will be sent with the S-UG link. Parents are asked to schedule and/or cancel care as far in advance as possible. Care cancelled on S-UG before noon on the day of service will not be charged. Cancellations after noon will be charged. Excessive same-day cancellations are problematic for us, so please exercise this option judiciously.
  
  I understand that I will be sent a password-protected scheduling link and that I will schedule my student(s) in advance, whenever possible, and I will cancel unneeded days promptly.
