Orton-Gillingham trained.Experience: 27 years teaching (26 at BSS)! Additional work experience in biotech.
Why I'm a teacher: I love kids. I love their insights, their creativity, the way they share and listen, and their boundless energy. I love opening kids' eyes to new ideas, new books, and different perspectives. I enjoy nurturing their spark and desire for learning—for academics and for Jesus! The hours fly by when I'm with my students. Teaching can be a demanding job, but I wouldn't trade it for the world! Teaching is a journey; I feel blessed every day.
More about me: My husband Pete and I have two boys out of college, Andrew and Jonah. We also have two fox red labs—Frost and Scout. We love to hike, mountain bike, and downhill ski as a family. We travel to Colorado and Minnesota quite often to see family.
