General Illness:
Fever: A child with a temperature of 100.4 degrees or higher must stay home for 24 hours AFTER the temperature is back to normal (without the use of fever-reducing medications).
Vomiting/Diarrhea: Children who have vomited or who have had diarrhea must remain home for 24 hours AFTER the last occurrence.
Fatigue/Malaise: Parents are asked to keep children home if they are too sick to participate in school activities, including recess.
Common Cold/Cough/Runny Nose: Parents of children in pre-K and K are asked to consider keeping their child home if the child is coughing and/or experiencing an excessively runny nose even if their temperature is normal.
